HOSPICE

Daniel Levy’s art could be considered a representation of the maladjusted, or even the grotesque. It was this particular aesthetic which attracted us to his work. His provocative mixture of severed limbs, multi-toothed beasts, and shadowy men is shocking and beautiful; Daniel’s pieces are a reflection of the perverse, and an accurate depiction of one artist’s struggle.

Daniel has agreed to lend his talents to Housepet’s first release “Oh, Fuck It.” Each song features one of his stunning pieces, specifically selected by Housepet. High quality prints of the selected pieces will be on display and available for sale at Housepet’s upcoming album release show. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.

You may ask yourself, why the name? Hospice comes from the Latin word hospitium meaning “a lodging for travelers; a place of rest for the weary.”

We understand how difficult the final push to release the album can be, we’re artists ourselves. You’ve done the hard work of creating the music, now put your feet up, take a load off, and let us take over. Hospice does not make music. You do. We’re here to help. The artist’s art should be their concern. Where and when and how best to release and promote that art–that’s our concern.

The physical relationship to music has been lost in digital translation. As a result, we at Hospice work with artists to develop quality unique products which fill the void that digital music has left behind. With every Hospice release, we present to you a work of art crafted by the artists’ hands, or commissioned for the release in collaboration with the artist.

Welcome to Hospice, enjoy your stay.
